About This Event

Water yields; light reveals. Together they name the spirit of this anthology — twenty-seven authors writing about racism, belonging, migration, and resilience through Chinese wisdom and other Asian traditions.

The launch opens with greetings from the Province of Alberta and the City of Edmonton Anti-Racism Grant Program, followed by a traditional Chinese musical performance and a visual presentation introducing every contributor in the book.

The heart of the afternoon is a collective reading: several authors take the floor to introduce their stories and read a passage that matters to them. Come to listen, to buy a book, to have it signed, to meet the writers, and to stay for the conversation afterward.
